Notes: Awhile ago I wrote two (very brief) pre-slash character studies - Secrets and Rules – and left it there. I really didn’t think I’d write NCIS again, but Twilight was inspiring. *g* It’s completely unnecessary to read the other two first, but this is how the two guys in those stories would get together.
Additional note: I was aiming for a stream-of-consciousness, fog-of-grief type thing. It’s entirely possible that what I ended up with is just OTT fog-of-confusion. Whatever. I had fun with this. *g*

Birthday fic for Rebecca (blueraccoon), a few days early, because I fangirl her, and when I grow up I want to write sex scenes like she does. (Which should be soon, I'm hoping, b/c I’m pretty sure I’m like, at least ten years older than she is.) In any case, this is sort of a companion piece to Secrets. No sex, but this is definitely a pre-slash pit stop on the way to the eventual collision. *g* So becca, happy happy, and I hope you have a wonderful day, sweetie. *hugs*

Okay, now I have to put Jethro and Tony away for awhile, b/c I left Jim tied to the bed in sen_thurs and I've got some serious first time J/B angst going on in Lorraine's as-of-yet unnamed monster. So many smut-muses, so little time. *BG*

So somewhere between helping my five year-old write his name on SIXTEEN valentines (*patience, grasshopper*), excavating my laundry room and fielding work phone calls, I've been thinking about Gibbs and all the reasons he would be so mean to Tony. This is probably due to the fact that "Meat Puzzle" (ick) rocked, plus I'm in the middle of beta-ing a really good NCIS piece (Sekrit message, if you're reading: I'll be done with it tonight *g*)

ANYWAY, thanks to Gibbs thoughts and oceana_'s previous musings about Gibbs' past, I came up with this brief, pre-slash character study, taking place post "Meat Puzzle" (ick). Whatever. It's so short I hesitate to give it a title. *g*

Un-beta-ed. I never met a run-on I didn't like.

Completely unrelated, but is there anyone else out there watching the new Battlestar Galactica who really wants Helo and the cylon-Boomer to be together? How twisted is that? And does this count as a het ship when she's a MACHINE? Just wondering.
