For whatever personal reasons I haven't been reading much fanfic lately, and I miss it. So a rec for this story came along at the perfect time because this story right here has everything I love so much about fanfic. Characters I love going through something real and intimate and emotional. Thanks for sharing this.

(And I'm really impressed at how much you got into the head of a parent with a critically ill child. That must be a hard thing to imagine.)
