I'd like to state for the record that historically, I SUCK at reading long fic. I often don't have the patience and I feel guilty about not pursuing my own writing. So when I read something long, it's because I think there's something really excellent there that I can't put down.

I love this. I love it so ridiculously much. I love Jensen the father and Jared the heart surgeon. I love how tentative and longing it all is. I love that Jared really loves Jonah, completely aside from crushing on Jensen. I love that you could've easily made Alona a villain and you didn't...that you just put the cold, hard truth out there: that some people are cut out to be parents and some aren't and that Alona was smart enough to know which one she was and to remove herself from the equation. I love it, I love it, I love it. I knew by the end of part one that I wanted to save it. By the end of part two, I knew I was going to reread it. A lot. Thanks.
