This is probably one of the best written STORIES I've read lately, not just fics, and I would encourage you to change the names of the characters so you could publish this as a short story for real. With most fics this is impossible, but because of the wonderful AU-ness of the fic, I think it would be a great idea. Really. I adore it, and have saved it forever in my beloved collection of good stories. Thanks so much for sharing. You really have a talent.
