To answer your question -- service dogs help people with all kinds of disabilities, apparently, as I discovered doing research for this. In Jensen's case, Sadie was there to help him keep his balance, mostly, and assist in an emergency. *g* Mostly, I loved the idea of incorporating Jared's dogs into the story, I guess.

Yes, well. *koff* I found out about service dogs while looking up guide dogs, heh. Jensen started out blind in this story until I realized, um, no, I couldn't actually pull that one off. *bg* TMI. :D:D
