I know I'm late to read this, but I had to comment and tell you what a fantastic story it is.

It's honestly perfect. Your pacing, your dialogue, your characterization. So much craft in what you've written, so much love conveyed in so few words. God, I wish I could ever write as sparely and beautifully.

Utterly lovely. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
