I have recently realised what a horrible lurker I have been, and decided to go back to my favourite fics and let the authors know what their stories mean to me!
And *this* one is top of the list for me - because it is the fic that brought me to J2 and Supernatural! I was reading fic in the Verbotene Liebe, Ollian fandom (if you haven't seen it, just know that it is based on a German soap opera, which can be found with English subtitles on youtube - believe it or not!)and I spotted your name on a post where you were discussing a fic that you were thinking of writing. Sadly, I don't think that you ever actually went for it, but I am hugely grateful to you because without you, I might not ever have seen Supernatural, or known about J2. Amazingly, when I first reached your LJ, I didn't even know who the gorgeous man who at that time graced your banner was (I am now rather more familiar with our own, dear Jensen, of course!).
And in addition to having a soft spot for the fact that Whistler changed my life (my fandom life, at least), I love, love, love this fic for itself, too - I have returned to it time and again, when I want (or need!) some happy, sappy, tension-filled, *hot* fic. I am thrilled by the use of a Gin Blossoms lyric in one of the sequels, too...
