Well, this is lovely. I get a really strong sense of Don's fear of losing Charlie. The early autism is parallel but not the same, because there are that handful of people who live in the same place as Charlie but Don is not and never can be one of them. It's only Charlie's willingness to be brought back into Don's world that allows them to know each other. It's a fragile thread and Don knows it. Beautifully conveyed.
